About Us
The Central Kansas Community Foundation was launched in January of 1995 as the Newton Healthcare Foundation. Following the merger of the two foundations in 2009, the foundation has grown significantly. We now serve a wide variety of charities in the greater Harvey, McPherson, Marion and Butler County areas. Each year, we award grants to several organizations that work diligently to better our community.
CKCF is proud to have affiliations with four area groups that are working hard to strengthen charitable services in their community. Peabody Community Foundation, Hesston Community Foundation, Hillsboro Community Foundation and the Community Foundation of Greater Butler County are all active groups that are seeking to build legacies.
The Central Kansas Community Foundation is requried by IRS regulations to submit a Form 990 reflecting all contributions, grants, investments and operating expenses related to the organization. Copies of the Form 990 and to the extent the organization may need to file a Form 990-T will be available upon request. Copies of the independent, financial audit of the Central Kansas Community Foundation will also be made available upon request.
Grant guidelines, gift acceptance policies and investment policies have been established by the CKCF Board of Directors as guidance for basic operations. Copies of each policy or guidelines are also available upon request.
