Youthville
Fund Established
If you could help one child
in need, one child in crisis, one child with nowhere to
turn, how would you do it?
Newton Community & Healthcare
Foundation (NCHF) has just the answer for you.
NCHF has established a permanent
endowment fund to benefit United Methodist Youthville, one
of the largest not-for-profit, child and family care agencies
in Kansas.
"The permanent endowment
fund established for Youthville was actually started by
a donor," said Loren Friesen, executive director
for NCHF. "The individual wanted to make sure her gift
of land would benefit the children directly. Establishing
the fund at NCHF, the endowment is not subject to any creditor
claims and lawsuits of the agency. As a result, foundation
endowment pay-out policies ensure a steady annual income
for youth services for generations to come."
Through the endowment, contributors
can give an enduring gift of hope to Kansas' children in
need.
Donors are invited to add
to the fund, especially through larger capital gifts and
bequests via their will, living trust or IRA beneficiary
designation.
Donors are reminded that
annual fund commitments are critical to Youthville's ongoing
operations as well, and that endowment gifts should be in
addition to any annual support commitments. As a contributor
to the United Methodist Youthville permanent endowment fund
at NCHF, your financial support will help rebuild lives,
families and communities.
Youthville's mission is
to improve the quality of life for vulnerable children,
their families, and their communities. It all began in 1927
when the Kansas Methodist Home for Children was founded
to serve orphaned, homeless and underprivileged children
from across the state.
The name was changed in 1968
to United Methodist Youthville, Inc. to reflect the changing
needs of vulnerable children.
From its original campus
in Newton, Youthville has established a network of community-based
care, with offices in Dodge City, Hays, Hutchinson and Wichita.
Comprehensive services range
from foster care, emergency shelters, residential facilities,
a unique farm and ranch program and on-site schooling. For
more information on how to contribute to the endowment,
