Elections
Officers and a new
member have been elected to the Newton Community & Healthcare
Foundation Board of Trustees.
New to the board is James
B. Stucky, former owner and president of Full Vision, Inc.,
a Newton manufacturing firm.
"I'm quite honored to
be asked to serve on the NCHF board," said Stucky.
"As a former Newton Medical Center board member, this
is a continuation of my commitment to serve and give back
to my community. The foundation provides a good avenue for
folks to give charitably to their community in a way that
assures long-term growth for the community. Serving on the
board gives me a chance to offer what I can toward that
goal."
Board officers include: Frank
Spangler, chairman, retired president of First Bank of Newton;
Mike Petitjean, vice chairman, financial advisor for American
Express Financial Advisors in Newton; Nancy Craig, secretary,
field director for the American Medical Association Alliance;
John Suderman, treasurer, president of Midland National
Bank in Newton; Dale Griswold, M.D., assistant treasurer,
retired internist; and Tom Adrian, assistant secretary,
attorney with Adrian and Pankratz in Newton.
Additional board members
include: Mary Carman, Ph.D., Beverly English, R.N., William
L. Friesen, Marnette Hatchett, Merrill F. Raber, Ph.D.,
Lloyd T. Smith, Pat Swartzendruber, and J. Wendell Wiens,
M.D. The foundation's 15-member board meets monthly and
members serve on a voluntary basis.
