Board Elections

Officers and a new member have been elected to the Newton Community & Healthcare Foundation Board of Trustees.

New to the board is James B. Stucky, former owner and president of Full Vision, Inc., a Newton manufacturing firm.

"I'm quite honored to be asked to serve on the NCHF board," said Stucky. "As a former Newton Medical Center board member, this is a continuation of my commitment to serve and give back to my community. The foundation provides a good avenue for folks to give charitably to their community in a way that assures long-term growth for the community. Serving on the board gives me a chance to offer what I can toward that goal."

Board officers include: Frank Spangler, chairman, retired president of First Bank of Newton; Mike Petitjean, vice chairman, financial advisor for American Express Financial Advisors in Newton; Nancy Craig, secretary, field director for the American Medical Association Alliance; John Suderman, treasurer, president of Midland National Bank in Newton; Dale Griswold, M.D., assistant treasurer, retired internist; and Tom Adrian, assistant secretary, attorney with Adrian and Pankratz in Newton.

Additional board members include: Mary Carman, Ph.D., Beverly English, R.N., William L. Friesen, Marnette Hatchett, Merrill F. Raber, Ph.D., Lloyd T. Smith, Pat Swartzendruber, and J. Wendell Wiens, M.D. The foundation's 15-member board meets monthly and members serve on a voluntary basis.
