Golf Tournament,
May 18
Having fun is a "fore" gone conclusion with this
fund-raiser. The Newton Community & Healthcare Foundation's
eighth annual golf tournament is scheduled for Saturday,
May 18, at the Hesston Municipal Golf Course.
All proceeds will benefit
area charities.
Registration is from 6:45-7:30
a.m. The four-person scramble will begin with a shotgun
tee time at 7:30 a.m.
Prizes will be awarded for
the closest to the pin, longest drive, straightest drive,
and longest putt. A Ford or Chevy full-size, extended-cab
pickup truck goes to the golfer with a hole-in-one! The
champion team will receive PGA ProTour handsigned memorabilia.
Drawings also will be held
for a custom-fitted driver, and a Kansas City get-away!
Golfers can register one
of four ways:
- $75 per single entry
- $150 for two
- $300 for a four-member
team
- $325 for a four-member
corporate team
The fee includes green fees,
cart and lunch.
Make checks payable to Newton
Community & Healthcare Foundation.
The foundation distributed
grants totaling $11,000 to local charities from the proceeds
of the 2001 tournament.
