Mike
Petitjean Elected Foundation Chairman
NEWTON
Michael L. Petitjean, ChFC, CLU, financial advisor
for American Express Financial Advisors in Newton, was elected
chairman of the Newton Community & Healthcare Foundation
during a recent meeting of the Board of Trustees.
He succeeds Frank L. Spangler,
retired President of First Bank of Newton, who has served
in the position for six years and will continue on the board.
Other officers are Nancy
G. Craig, Vice-Chair; John R. Suderman, Treasurer; James
B. Stucky, Secretary; Dale G. Griswold, M.D., Assistant
Treasurer; and Thomas A. Adrian, Assistant Secretary.
Other board members include
Mary Carman, Ph.D., William L. Friesen, Marnette Hatchett,
Merrill F. Raber, Ph.D, Lloyd T. Smith, Pat Swartzendruber
and Wendell Wiens, M.D.
The Newton Community &
Healthcare Foundation seeks to strengthen health care and
charitable services - such as those dealing with children,
health, education, basic human needs, the arts and more
- in the greater Harvey County area by encouraging philanthropy.
