Golf Tourney May 17

Golfers will tee off May 17 at the ninth Annual Newton Community & Healthcare Foundation Charity Golf Tournament at the Hesston Municipal Golf Course.

Proceeds from this year's event will benefit the Newton Medical Center Women's Center Campaign.

A shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. will launch activities that include food, fun and prizes.

Golfers can register one of four ways:

$75 per single entry
$150 for two
$300 for a four-member team
$325 for a four-member corporate team

Make checks payable to Newton Community & Healthcare Foundation.

Sponsors and entry fees from last year's tournament netted $10,000 for grants to Newton Medical Center, Health Ministries of Harvey County, Central Homecare & Hospice and Leave a Legacy.

Since its beginnings, the event has generated more than $60,000 in grants to area organizations.
