Tournament Benefits Local Charities
Three
area charities are splitting equally $9,300 in net proceeds
from Newton Community & Healthcare Foundation's 11th
annual Benefit Golf Tournament May 14 at the Hesston Municipal
Golf Course.
Receiving
the proceeds are Harvey County Health Ministries, Harvey
County Domestic Violence Safe House and the Inpatient Rehabilitation
Unit addition at Newton Medical Center.
First
Bank of Newton captured first-place
foursome honors
with a team score of 63. Second place was tied by Midland
Bank and Mid-Kansas Family Practice teams with scores of
65.
Major
sponsors for the tournament are Emergency Services of Kansas,
Adrian & Pankratz, Central Care Cancer Center, First
Bank of Newton, and Knudson, Monroe and Company.
Hole
sponsors are Family Eye Care, Wright Medical Technology,
Inc., Hendrickson Chiropractic and Health Center, WDM Healthcare
Design, Tippin Dental Group, R.S. Metzler, DDS, and Newton
Medical Center.
Melvin
Schadler served as chairman of this year's event.
